About Us
Who we are
We are Don and Bev Jenkins from Indiana. We love all things lapidary - rocks, minerals, crystals, fossils, shells and more! Together, we cut and polish our own gemstone cabochons and set some of them into one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
Don specializes in offering spheres, obelisks, points, towers, wands, and carvings. Bev also creates shell art, she has a graphics art degree and is an alumnus from the Gemological Institute of America where she studied gemstones and jewelry.
We are also rock hounds, our family vacations have revolved around collecting, there's not much to find in Indiana so we have to travel to find our treasures!
We are members of the 3 Rivers Gem & Mineral Society in Fort Wayne, Indiana and most of our free time is spent "playing rocks" with friends and family!
Completely one-of-a-kind
Since nature makes each piece and we are only bringing it to you in a special form, each piece we sell is a one-of-a-kind item. The jewelry may be the same mounting, but the stone is always going to be different with it's own inclusions, coloring or modeling. Each carving or sphere is going to have it's own features. Different reflections from lighting can change the look of a piece dramatically.
It's part of what we love about rocks - the way nature has created them. It's amazing to see the bright blue flash of Labradorite or the dendrites forming a perfect landscape picture in a Montana Agate, all made naturally by the earth.
